Marcos Basso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sonny Perkins in the 11th minute of the match. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ipswich Traktor Boys's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anibal Haritzeder was slow to take the kick. During this time Quetzal Flyers Hammers's players had a chance to rest. Anibal Haritzeder made a great header on Quetzal Flyers Hammers's corner, it was just that Ipswich Traktor Boys's Marcos Basso managed to reach the ball for a save. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Francesco Marines played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niklas Lundqvist in the 40th minute of play. Marcos Basso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sonny Perkins in the 42nd minute. Francesco Marines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niklas Lundqvist in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goal looked a bit too open when Niklas Lundqvist came free, but Francesco Marines reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Sonny Perkins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcos Basso having to make a save. Ipswich Traktor Boys were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Quetzal Flyers Hammers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anibal Haritzeder in the 64th minute. The corner led Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Tony Cote to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcos Basso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Alexander Biörnberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pawel Gibowski in the 82 minute of the game. In the 84th minute Sonny Perkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Basso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herbert Holmgren got free with Francesco Marines in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tony Cote scored 3-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Basso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's Francesco Marines got control of the ball when Abdulkerim Türköne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quetzal Flyers Hammers's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
