Franco Moscatelli came out of the goal and Velasco Rollan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Velasco Rollan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Franco Moscatelli made a huge save. In the 12th minute Gilberto Izel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Sorriva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Sorriva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Rozarius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilberto Izel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Velasco Rollan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Franco Moscatelli skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marino Malet hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Sociedad Anónima's Antonio Sorriva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Izel in the 25th minute of play. Marino Malet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrique Rozarius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gilberto Izel took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Antonio Sorriva. Antonio Sorriva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 42 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Franco Moscatelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Velasco Rollan. With a little luck, La Scaloneta's Franco Moscatelli got control of the ball when Velasco Rollan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franco Moscatelli made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Velasco Rollan sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Velasco Rollan got free with Franco Moscatelli in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Franco Moscatelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Sociedad Anónima players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. La Scaloneta were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Izel to make the kick off. With a little luck, Sociedad Anónima's Antonio Sorriva got control of the ball when Enrique Rozarius tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Izel got free with Antonio Sorriva in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Vinícius Junior got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 63rd minute, Velasco Rollan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Moscatelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Franco Moscatelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Velasco Rollan's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Franco Moscatelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Franco Moscatelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velasco Rollan in the 70th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Velasco Rollan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Moscatelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Moscatelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marino Malet's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. La Scaloneta's Franco Moscatelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Velasco Rollan in the 76th minute of play. After some careless play in the La Scaloneta defense, Velasco Rollan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Moscatelli. The La Scaloneta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Moscatelli should have stopped the shot. Sociedad Anónima's Felix Larren was substituted for Marino Malet. Sociedad Anónima's Cordaryal Valdecañas was substituted for Ramos Trasmiera. If Nicanor Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Velasco Rollan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Franco Moscatelli was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. When Sociedad Anónima's Felix Larren in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Scaloneta's goalie prevented a goal. Sociedad Anónima's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
