With a little luck, Young Ostend United's Stanny Van Gorp got control of the ball when Claudinho Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Barros got free with Stanny Van Gorp in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alain Wans hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Romário Molina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Amadeo Rocio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romário Molina in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeo Rocio saved Reall Madrid Marienburg from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Lorenz Mendi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stanny Van Gorp was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Stanny Van Gorp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lajos Bögi in the 24th minute of play. Amadeo Rocio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jason Asselberghs's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute Romário Molina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Rocio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanny Van Gorp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jem Czosnek kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Amadeo Rocio came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Young Ostend United's Jason Asselberghs. But to his dismay, Jason Asselberghs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Amadeo Rocio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jason Asselberghs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reall Madrid Marienburg's Amadeo Rocio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jason Asselberghs in the 41st minute of play. Jason Asselberghs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rocio having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jason Asselberghs to make the kick off. Jason Asselberghs was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 52nd minute. Young Ostend United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A hard shot 56 in the game by Romário Molina from a close distance when the talented Amadeo Rocio managed to make a qualified save. Reall Madrid Marienburg's players were relieved. 61 minutes into the match, Reall Madrid Marienburg's goalkeeper Amadeo Rocio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romário Molina. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Niedzwiecki in the 64th minute of play forced Young Ostend United's goalkeeper Stanny Van Gorp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Young Ostend United defense, Olgierd Niedzwiecki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanny Van Gorp. The Young Ostend United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanny Van Gorp should have stopped the shot. Amadeo Rocio made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Romário Molina sent off a good shot on target. Stanny Van Gorp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Stanny Van Gorp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenz Mendi in the 77th minute of the match. Romário Molina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Amadeo Rocio made a huge save. Romário Molina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rocio having to interfere. The supporters of Young Ostend United booed when Reall Madrid Marienburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörg Milbradt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes of play, Reall Madrid Marienburg's Claudinho Barros made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stanny Van Gorp was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, Reall Madrid Marienburg's goalkeeper Amadeo Rocio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romário Molina. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olgierd Niedzwiecki in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanny Van Gorp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Young Ostend United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
