After a rather tough play, LFS Sapphire Club's Roland Cerocki got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Witalis Tamulewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilian Loureiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Witalis Tamulewicz went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute Aloísio Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltasar Aznaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. LFS Sapphire Club's Zbigniew Hatman got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Unidose II FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Afonso Vargas hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aloísio Salgado made a kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Zbigniew Hatman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilian Loureiro. Unidose II FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zbigniew Hatman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Aloísio Salgados short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Baltasar Aznaro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in LFS Sapphire Club's zone, Gilberto Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltasar Aznaro came out of the goal and Gilberto Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 62 played minutes LFS Sapphire Club got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Carrasqueira. The supporters of LFS Sapphire Club booed when Unidose II FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the match, LFS Sapphire Club's goalkeeper Baltasar Aznaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Simões. Wilian Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbigniew Hatman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zbigniew Hatman took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilian Loureiro. Wilian Loureiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Witalis Tamulewicz in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilian Loureiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, LFS Sapphire Club's Zbigniew Hatman got a free kick in the 79th minute. Baltasar Aznaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aloísio Salgado in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Unidose II FC's Armando Toscano seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Armando Toscano the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unidose II FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Armando Toscano had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 82nd minute, one of Unidose II FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Unidose II FC. The referee gave LFS Sapphire Club a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Witalis Tamulewicz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Unidose II FC's Wilian Loureiro. 4-1. After some careless play in the Unidose II FC defense, Witalis Tamulewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilian Loureiro. The Unidose II FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilian Loureiro should have stopped the shot. Witalis Tamulewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unidose II FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
