Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Lazcano to make the kick off. Nenko Reza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danush Tavakoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The throw-in from William Lucas in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Purple Talents's Gustav Mattheijs. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roy Makaay in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Roy Makaay came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Villaverde Celeste Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Makaay couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Villaverde Celeste Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
