Hubert Haglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Domenech having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 14 minutes, Ali Kürşat Rıfat successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Codrin Matei put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Artemio Domenech. In the 20th match minute, ASV Muziekwijk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Tăgorean to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dedé Maldini during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute Hans-Cees Dirks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Kürşat Rıfat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Boca Gregorian Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ASV Muziekwijk were winning 0-1.

Boca Gregorian Juniors's Artemio Domenech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maarten Steffens in the 87th minute of play. After 94 played minutes Boca Gregorian Juniors got a freekick which was hit by João Paiva. The ASV Muziekwijk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ASV Muziekwijk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
