A collision led to Tiger getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gaizka Mendieta hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Tiger were awarded a corner. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Xeneizes's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 32 minutes into the match, Tiger's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Peru came free, but Josef Witlatschil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Xeneizes were awarded a corner. Tao Fan Xi went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Xeneizes's corner Tao Fan Xi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Josef Witlatschil quite easily take care of the ball. Amadeo-Raúl Carrizo made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Pentti Ojala sent off a good shot on target. Fulgencio Peru scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josef Witlatschil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiger made a substitution. Lukas Wurm replaced Gilbert Majkowski. The Tiger players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Xeneizes were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fulgencio Peru to strike the kick off in the second half.
