It was Aristides Gaspard who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Richmond's zone, Milton Melgar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arkın Taşboğa came out of the goal and Milton Melgar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Arkın Taşboğa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milton Melgar. 18 minutes into the match, Supay Puka Huasi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emiel Pinksteren came free, but Gilmar Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, AFC Richmond's Arkın Taşboğa got control of the ball when Milton Melgar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ulises Abusleme charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulises Abusleme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiel Pinksteren in the 25th minute of play forced Supay Puka Huasi FC's goalkeeper Gilmar Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC Richmond's Arkın Taşboğa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Ferdinand in the 26th minute of play. In the 28th minute Niceto Ferdinand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arkın Taşboğa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 30 minutes, Niceto Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Supay Puka Huasi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Ferdinand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. AFC Richmond's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Milton Melgar 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Gilmar Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiel Pinksteren in the 38th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Niceto Ferdinand notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of AFC Richmond's Arkın Taşboğa. Arkın Taşboğa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Supay Puka Huasi FC booed when AFC Richmond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Cuenca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Willy Píriz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. AFC Richmond's Remicio Price was substituted for Emiel Pinksteren. In the 67th minute, Sandro Cavareda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AFC Richmond's Fernando Tolhauzsen was substituted for Vinicio Celada. Sandro Cavareda kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AFC Richmond's Fernando Tolhauzsen got a free kick in the 78th minute. AFC Richmond's Arkın Taşboğa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milton Melgar in the 87th minute of play. Arkın Taşboğa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milton Melgar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arkın Taşboğa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Rosario in the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th match minute, Supay Puka Huasi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sarmiento to maneuver through the defense. AFC Richmond's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
