The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Jimmy Allbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 11 minutes into the game, Markus Svensson lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Algot Ennegren. In the 17th minute Ove Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Glanselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markus Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Algot Ennegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Algot Ennegren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Real Södertälje booed when Linghed Angels FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Allbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Linghed Angels FC's Algot Ennegren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Linghed Angels FC from getting a goal against them. A sloppy throw-in by Jimmy Allbom in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Södertälje's Raphael Dias. Markus Svensson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Algot Ennegren when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markus Svensson got free with Algot Ennegren in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Markus Svensson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Algot Ennegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Real Södertälje's Nils-Åke Wickander was substituted for Urki Regalado. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and James Batistuta made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Rikard Wolff ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Algot Ennegren was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Algot Ennegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from James Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Linghed Angels FC's Algot Ennegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rikard Wolff in the 58th minute of play. Algot Ennegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Batistuta in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to Linghed Angels FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Victor Malmberg hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rikard Wolff in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Algot Ennegren saved Linghed Angels FC from getting behind. Jack Glanselius made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Ove Hellström sent off a good shot on target. Algot Ennegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Åke Wickander, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Linghed Angels FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Reynaldo Cerezo was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Södertälje's players had a chance to rest. Linghed Angels FC:s Algot Ennegren showed great skill when he stopped James Batistuta:s penalty. Rikard Wolff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jack Glanselius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Hellström in the 77th minute of play. Rikard Wolff took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Algot Ennegren. Algot Ennegren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If Rikard Wolff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Linghed Angels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rikard Wolff came free, but Algot Ennegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Batistuta in the 84th minute of play forced Linghed Angels FC's goalkeeper Algot Ennegren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Ingmar Barck in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Real Södertälje's Reynaldo Cerezo. Algot Ennegren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from James Batistuta went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Martin Ødegaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Jack Glanselius made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Linghed Angels FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Real Södertälje.
