Perivaldo Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atlético-PR's Eulalio Montrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Harriet in the 8th minute of play. Martinez Maravilha was a little too slow when Pedrinho Hoffmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Eulalio Montrel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Harriet in the 14th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Sampaio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martinez Maravilha. Jarana FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perivaldo Sampaio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After having played for 30 minutes, Wilfredo Gitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Gitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Atlético-PR booed when Jarana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Guillelmus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eulalio Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Gitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedrinho Hoffmann to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Pedrinho Hoffmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martinez Maravilha. Jarana FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrinho Hoffmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Harriet in the 57th minute of play forced Atlético-PR's goalkeeper Eulalio Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute, Márcio Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65thth minute of the game Yang Ke Xun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jarana FC's Martinez Maravilha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute Angelo Di María shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Montrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jarana FC's zone, Perivaldo Sampaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martinez Maravilha came out of the goal and Perivaldo Sampaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martinez Maravilha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hong Jian Fan's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Jarana FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ren Ang Ming was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético-PR's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Jarana FC's goalie and right to Perivaldo Sampaio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Jarana FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the referee ended the match the Atlético-PR players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
