Kwaski Sandomierz's Barbaros Sargan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bela Herrero in the 21st minute of play. If Gustaw Zembrzuski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bela Herrero in the 29th minute of play forced Kwaski Sandomierz's goalkeeper Barbaros Sargan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, PERSPOLIS's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Medeiros came free, but Gianluigi Donnarumma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kwaski Sandomierz's Gustaw Zembrzuski got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The corner led Kwaski Sandomierz's Tạ Bunk to fire away a dangerous shot which Gianluigi Donnarumma despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Gianluigi Donnarumma stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustaw Zembrzuski's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Gianluigi Donnarumma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaw Zembrzuski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olgierd Walkowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Barbaros Sargan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Ganix in the 58th minute of the match. Barbaros Sargan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Barbaros Sargan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Ganix, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Jordan Henderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Kosiorek couldn't finish the play.
