A collision led to Cimarrones F.C. getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Handley Roach hit a great ball. In the 36th minute Eric Păvăloae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themba Takane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cimarrones F.C.'s Themba Takane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Păvăloae in the 38th minute of play. After 44 played minutes Cimarrones F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ubarna Donallo. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ninjas in Pyjamas's Mihnea Iosub managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Handley Roach in the 56 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Păvăloae in the 58th minute of play forced Cimarrones F.C.'s goalkeeper Themba Takane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Nazario came free, but Emil Gabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Gabor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natalio Nazario, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute.
