José Vítor Ramos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Raul Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Ramos in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Jaques Domtov threw the ball into play from the sideline. Corinthians's Kiril Biradzhiev quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Maccabi Netanya's Raul Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Ramos in the 17th minute of play. Raul Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Iván Urtzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raul Zoff was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and José Vítor Ramos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. José Vítor Ramos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 35 minutes into the match, Maccabi Netanya's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Ramos came free, but Raul Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dunixi Laurenciano in the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, José Vítor Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raul Zoff. Maccabi Netanya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Vítor Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The Maccabi Netanya fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Vítor Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raul Zoff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tadmor Netaniyahu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Almeida having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Jaques Domtov in the 70th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Corinthians's Kiril Biradzhiev. In the 79th minute José Vítor Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th match minute, Maccabi Netanya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Danış Keçecioğlu to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, José Vítor Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Vítor Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Corinthians support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
