An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Weijnants in the 17th minute of play forced Dhafnospiliá BC's goalkeeper Nikos Tournas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikos Tournas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Clijsters in the 38th minute of play. Matthew Lijsens scored 0-6 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nikos Tournas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 45 minutes into the match, KFC Vliegplein's goalkeeper Teo De Jonge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Petros Kalivrousis.

Matthew Lijsens received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nikos Tournas came out and tried to block the shot, but Matthew Lijsens slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 52nd minute. Matthew Lijsens took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nikos Tournas. Nikos Tournas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. Ferdinand Weijnants could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Nikos Tournas made a huge save. Octaaf Bosmans was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute there was a penalty for Dhafnospiliá BC. Owen Colbert stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Teo De Jonge. 1-8. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Matthew Lijsens took a quick shot and it went in 1-9 without a chance for Nikos Tournas to make any attempt to save it. 74 minutes into the match, Dhafnospiliá BC's goalkeeper Nikos Tournas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reinaert Vischkens. After 75 minutes Dhafnospiliá BC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Endel Darmer who took care of the corner kick. KFC Vliegplein's Matthew Lijsens was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nikos Tournas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Teo De Jonge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Guijarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Dhafnospiliá BC's Nikos Tournas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul-Louis Jannes in the 85th minute of play. Teo De Jonge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theocharis Agapidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KFC Vliegplein eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
