In the 40th minute Björn Lachenicht suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Beyaz Zenciler's Fahri Bakırhan got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes, Freestylers's Musa Bardakçı shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rafal Labus came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Freestylers reached it. Rafal Labus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Musa Bardakçı in the 43rd minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Freestylers's Matthias Büssinger was substituted for Musa Bardakçı. Freestylers's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
