The audience was convinced that Teobald Karanewski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Desiderio Endura was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mădălin Lipan in the 6th minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Desiderio Endura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Augusto Procopio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Ghioncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Teobald Karanewski sped through SOUTH THUNDER's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Desiderio Endura. In the 11thth minute of the game Teobald Karanewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SOUTH THUNDER's Desiderio Endura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobald Karanewski in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Desiderio Endura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Mădălin Lipan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carpathians's supporters rose to their feet, but Mădălin Lipan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Desiderio Endura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Teobald Karanewski came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Carpathians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teobald Karanewski couldn't finish the play. Desiderio Endura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mădălin Lipan in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Carpathians booed when SOUTH THUNDER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Sindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, SOUTH THUNDER's Jeronimo Errapel got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Cazimir Feteanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Teobald Karanewski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Desiderio Endura. SOUTH THUNDER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teobald Karanewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 37th minute of the match, Jeronimo Errapel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Călin Ghioncu was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. SOUTH THUNDER were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Carpathians's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jeronimo Errapel took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Santiago Bautista got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Călin Ghioncu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. SOUTH THUNDER's Desiderio Endura played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cazimir Feteanu in the 41st minute of play. Călin Ghioncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Procopio in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th match minute, Carpathians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cazimir Feteanu to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Erhun Yılma put in a rough tackle. In the 51st minute, one of Carpathians:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Carpathians. Călin Ghioncu had in the 53rdth minute some difficulties stopping Jeronimo Errapel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Jeronimo Errapel scored 1-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Călin Ghioncu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augusto Procopio in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Călin Ghioncu saved Carpathians from getting behind. Călin Ghioncu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeronimo Errapel's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Jeronimo Errapel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Călin Ghioncu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 62 minutes, Teobald Karanewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpathians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teobald Karanewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carpathians's Călin Ghioncu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Procopio in the 79th minute of play. Desiderio Endura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gheorghe Ciurea in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Carpathians's Gheorghe Ciurea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Desiderio Endura narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gheorghe Ciurea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Desiderio Endura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 93 minutes, Mădălin Lipan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carpathians's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mădălin Lipan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Carpathians's Gheorghe Ciurea in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SOUTH THUNDER's goalie prevented a goal. The SOUTH THUNDER supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Carpathians's performance. The match ended with a win for Carpathians.
