In the 20th minute of the match, Boris Marsac got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leopoldo Lastur was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Marsac in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute Boris Marsac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Boris Marsac came free, but Leopoldo Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Lastur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boris Marsac in the 30th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Leopoldo Lastur successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Galapagos Islands FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Boris Marsac in the 36th minute. With a little luck, Leones FC's Leopoldo Lastur got control of the ball when Özgün Hatip tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Radomil Mroczynski came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Galapagos Islands FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radomil Mroczynski couldn't finish the play. Martin Asier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Asier made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Mariano Peyo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Anthon Karlsson, passed just outside the right post. 54 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gaspar Sabin came free, but Anthon Karlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Javier Richie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leones FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galapagos Islands FC the free kick. If Markus Åström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Boris Marsac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Poz kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgün Hatip in the 59th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Özgün Hatip made a precise shot to the right of Leopoldo Lastur. Leones FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Radomil Mroczynski struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Leopoldo Lastur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galapagos Islands FC. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Asier in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anthon Karlsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 70 minutes, Martin Asier made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Galapagos Islands FC's Anthon Karlsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's Özgün Hatip sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Lastur narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Galapagos Islands FC's corner Boris Marsac fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leopoldo Lastur quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Leones FC defense, Boris Marsac kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leopoldo Lastur. The Leones FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leopoldo Lastur should have stopped the shot. After 86th play minutes Radomil Mroczynski shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Leopoldo Lastur and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boris Marsac in the 90th minute of play forced Leones FC's goalkeeper Leopoldo Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boris Marsac fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Lastur having to interfere. There was no doubt that Galapagos Islands FC were the better team. Galapagos Islands FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
