The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zinédine Papoutsiadis in the 8th minute of play. Christos Perivolakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wieslaw Posadzki in the 10th minute. After 11 minutes of play, MICE F.C.'s Dimitris Skondras made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaap van der Schans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Filip Hansma hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Jaap van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lv Hai Chong in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Skondras in the 22nd minute of play forced Westenenk's goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Dimitris Skondras sped through Westenenk's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jaap van der Schans. In the 27th minute John Bever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christos Perivolakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaap van der Schans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lv Hai Chong, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, MICE F.C.'s Menios Tsirkos got a free kick in the 30th minute. Christos Perivolakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Bever in the 31st minute of the match. Christos Perivolakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Lauaxeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Dimitris Skondras notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans. Jaap van der Schans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 38th minute, Westenenk's Wieslaw Posadzki dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind MICE F.C.'s goalkeeper Christos Perivolakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitris Skondras in the 42nd minute of play. Christos Perivolakis made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Wieslaw Posadzki sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dimitris Skondras to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Westenenk got a freekick which was hit by Jan Rein Karremans. The audience thought a goal was coming when Panos Kavaliaratos got free with Jaap van der Schans in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute, Menios Tsirkos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dimitris Skondras in the 58th minute of play forced Westenenk's goalkeeper Jaap van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dimitris Skondras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jaap van der Schans made a huge save. Jaap van der Schans came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by MICE F.C.'s Lv Hai Chong. But to his dismay, Lv Hai Chong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. John Bever's late challenge caught a MICE F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Bever helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, John Bever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaap van der Schans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Hai Chong in the 66th minute of the match. Jaap van der Schans was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Lv Hai Chong capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lv Hai Chong really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Dimitris Skondrass short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Jaap van der Schans to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Westenenk's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panos Kavaliaratos was slow to take the kick. During this time MICE F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Ding Hakimi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberth Gosmann in the 82nd minute of play forced MICE F.C.'s goalkeeper Christos Perivolakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by MICE F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gervasio Lauaxeta was slow to take the kick. During this time Westenenk's players had a chance to rest. Westenenk's Jaap van der Schans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Westenenk from getting a goal against them. The supporters of MICE F.C. booed when Westenenk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Hansma didn't get a good kick on the ball.
