In the 13thth minute of the game Nicolás Valentini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kjell-Arne Hultman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolás Valentini's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Kjell-Arne Hultman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolás Valentini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastián Battaglia scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kjell-Arne Hultman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of La Candela FC booed when MAFFIAN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Widberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Sebastián Battaglia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kjell-Arne Hultman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 31 minutes of play, La Candela FC's Cristian Medina made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kjell-Arne Hultman was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the match, Nicolás Valentini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kjell-Arne Hultman. MAFFIAN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolás Valentini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Kjell-Arne Hultman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Medina in the 38th minute of the match. La Candela FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastián Battaglia in the 39th minute. Sebastián Battaglia made a great header on La Candela FC's corner, it was just that MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman managed to reach the ball for a save. Arnold Schwarzenegger hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Nicolás Valentini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Battaglia in the 43rd minute of play forced MAFFIAN's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Hultman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell-Arne Hultman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Medina in the 45th minute of the match. MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolás Valentini in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean-Claude Van Damme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jim Nilsson during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. MAFFIAN's Kjell-Arne Hultman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén-Darío Feldmann in the 63rd minute of play. Kjell-Arne Hultman guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Kjell-Arne Hultman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicolás Valentini showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 69 minute of play. The audience cheered when Sebastián Battaglia's long shot passed Kjell-Arne Hultman's right side. It was 0-5, 75 minutes into the match.
