La Candela FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sebastián Battaglia in the 14th minute. Teodosio Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Barco, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of AZURDUY F.C. booed when La Candela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Rogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Rogel during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for La Candela FC! Ruben Sánchez had in the 60thth minute some difficulties stopping Tom Hermansson's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Niclas Füllkrug cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ruben Sánchez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. La Candela FC's Claudio Marangoni was substituted for Cristian Medina. Ruben Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Hermansson in the 75th minute of play. Teodosio Iigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Marangoni in the 80th minute of the match. A collision led to AZURDUY F.C. getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Manuel Valerio hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Tom Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Sánchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodosio Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastián Battaglia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The AZURDUY F.C. players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
