Viorel Leu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eugenio Colecchia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viorel Leu in the 6th minute. Paulino Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Eugenio Colecchia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eugenio Colecchia was a little too slow when Viorel Leu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. Eugenio Colecchia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viorel Leu in the 19th minute of play. Cristoforo Leoni's late challenge caught a GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristoforo Leoni helped the player get up and apologised. Cesare Del Duca kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Leu in the 32nd minute of play forced Seggiano's goalkeeper Eugenio Colecchia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narcis Răcănel got free with Eugenio Colecchia in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Seggiano's Eugenio Colecchia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Răcănel in the 45th minute of play. Guntis Pakuls hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Viorel Leu made the kick off in the second half. Viorel Leu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Colecchia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hortêncio Coutinho in the 54th minute. Ştefan Vlădoiu made a great header on GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's corner, it was just that Seggiano's Eugenio Colecchia managed to reach the ball for a save. After 56 minutes Seggiano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hortêncio Coutinho who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Hortêncio Coutinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eugenio Colecchia quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Seggiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GoooooooooooooooooooooooL the free kick.
