Spectators: 153 (Terracing: 117, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Murilo Prestes started the match with the kick off. Murilo Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Hedström having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Buinton in the 11th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Caco Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Murilo Prestes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Hedström. AEK S.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murilo Prestes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, AEK S.C's Norman Haiba got a free kick in the 16th minute. Murilo Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Hedström having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber da Costa came free, but Michael Hedström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murilo Prestes struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Michael Hedström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SORRISO E. C.. SORRISO E. C.'s Murilo Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 47 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor da Silveira. After the first half SORRISO E. C. were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Vicente Buinton made the kick off in the second half. Caco Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Buinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murilo Prestes in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Hedström saved AEK S.C from getting behind. Michael Hedström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Prestes's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Edmílson da Rocha hit a great ball. SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giannis Kousas in the 63rd minute of play. SORRISO E. C.'s Murilo Prestes got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dimitris Kourmouzis hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 68 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Prestes came free, but Michael Hedström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 minutes AEK S.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Murilo Prestes who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AEK S.C's goalie and right to Murilo Prestes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AEK S.C's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murilo Prestes in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Hedström saved AEK S.C from getting behind. A collision led to AEK S.C getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Norman Haiba hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, AEK S.C's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Murilo Prestes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Prestes in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Hedström prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
