When Mo Yi Sang came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the San Lorenzo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mo Yi Sang couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramón Furtado in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matias Carlomagno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 29 in the game by Mo Yi Sang from a close distance when the talented Dmytro Novak managed to make a qualified save. Flamengo FSCMZ's players were relieved. 37 minutes into the game, Ke Lin Mo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Flamengo FSCMZ's Eliseu Marquez quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. San Lorenzo's Mo Yi Sang got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to San Lorenzo getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Osvaldo Llorienzo hit a great ball. In the 47th minute of the match Marcus de Godoi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matias Carlomagno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ramón Furtado to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramón Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matias Carlomagno read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Flamengo FSCMZ's Stefan Banaszak ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matias Carlomagno. Matias Carlomagno yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 93rd minute, Eliseu Marquez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Flamengo FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
