After a defensive mix-up in Akademia Maliqi's zone, Lennie Buckler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timoteo Lucero came out of the goal and Lennie Buckler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Akademia Maliqi's Timoteo Lucero got control of the ball when Lennie Buckler tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Alvarado de Mar del Plata's Timoteo Lucero threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kang Feng, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lennie Buckler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timoteo Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Verón in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Akademia Maliqi getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Durim Ndoja hit a great ball. Timoteo Lucero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kang Feng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rolando Hodei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes, Akademia Maliqi's Nexhat Zhiva shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Iker Mincho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Akademia Maliqi reached it. Kang Feng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Timoteo Lucero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timoteo Lucero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lennie Buckler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lennie Buckler during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 40 minutes into the match, Akademia Maliqi's goal looked a bit too open when Kang Feng came free, but Timoteo Lucero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexandru Nastac stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
