In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caspalá FC's goalkeeper Narciso Urtungo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 13th minute Victor Raebert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pastor Firman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radomil Mietus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Narciso Urtungo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radomil Mietus who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Narciso Urtungo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 19 minutes in the game, Arnold Ponk dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Narciso Urtungo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radomil Mietus in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Sebastian Verón ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciso Urtungo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Caspalá FC's Narciso Urtungo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Verón in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Sebastian Verón ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciso Urtungo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Sportivo Quilmes's Radomil Mietus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Narciso Urtungo. That made the score 4-0 after 30 minutes of play. Pastor Firman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ildefonso Francesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Urtungo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arnold Ponk went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score.

Narciso Urtungo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnold Ponk in the 51st minute of play. Narciso Urtungo came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Sportivo Quilmes's Sebastian Verón. But to his dismay, Sebastian Verón quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Narciso Urtungo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Verón in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Martins in the 65th minute of play forced Caspalá FC's goalkeeper Narciso Urtungo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radomil Mietus hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Club Sportivo Quilmes made a substitution. Wlodzimierz Absolwent replaced Waldemar Przybylo.
