Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chiquito Benítez started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute, Zé Roberto Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute Chiquito Benítez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanni Pena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chiquito Benítez in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giovanni Pena saved Júbilo Iwata from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Júbilo Iwata's zone, Chiquito Benítez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanni Pena came out of the goal and Chiquito Benítez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deportivo Mandiyu's Arne Bronco got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Xabier got free with Roque Narvaja in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivan Xabier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Roque Narvaja skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After taking down the ball on Júbilo Iwata's corner Chico Mendonça fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Roque Narvaja quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Chiquito Benítez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Mandiyu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chiquito Benítez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 30 minutes, Alberto Honrio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Deportivo Mandiyu and the Júbilo Iwata players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Deportivo Mandiyu getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alberto Honrio hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Lopes in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Narvaja prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chiquito Benítez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chiquito Benítez took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giovanni Pena. Giovanni Pena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquito Benítez in the 43rd minute of play forced Júbilo Iwata's goalkeeper Giovanni Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some careless play in the Deportivo Mandiyu defense, Zé Roberto Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roque Narvaja. The Deportivo Mandiyu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roque Narvaja should have stopped the shot. Júbilo Iwata made a substitution. Marcel Lira replaced Celso Lopes. In the 61st minute, Chiquito Benítez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Mandiyu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 65 minutes into the match, Júbilo Iwata's goalkeeper Giovanni Pena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chiquito Benítez. In the 69th minute, Chiquito Benítez made a precise shot to the right of Giovanni Pena. Júbilo Iwata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Deportivo Mandiyu's Benigno Larpe was substituted for Chiquito Benítez. Deportivo Mandiyu's Leonides Remir was substituted for Arne Bronco. 76 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Lira came free, but Roque Narvaja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Júbilo Iwata defense, Benigno Larpe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giovanni Pena. The Júbilo Iwata fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giovanni Pena should have stopped the shot. Benigno Larpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Giovanni Pena made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Lira in the 85th minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Roque Narvaja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giovanni Pena made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Benigno Larpe sent off a good shot on target. Rafinha Velasco hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, Benigno Larpe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Giovanni Pena, 1-7. Giovanni Pena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benigno Larpe went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-8 was the resulting score.
