Hlonda Boyz's attentive Henri Pesqueira managed to snatch the ball when Juvenal Mendonça made a throw-in in the 15th minute of the game. Zhou Zhen Peng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Xabier in the 17th minute of play. Juvenal Mendonça made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hlonda Boyz's Henri Pesqueira. Júbilo Iwata's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roland Bejrut ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hlonda Boyz's Roland Bejrut was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Giovanni Pena in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kong Cheng Xi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Hlonda Boyz booed when Júbilo Iwata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball.
