Alekos Gaitanopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β's Alekos Gaitanopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Gomesano in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Independiente booed when ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stathis Leontiou didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β's Alekos Gaitanopoulos got control of the ball when Xu Wei Kun tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, Eriberto Truylos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 22nd minute of the match Martin Suy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alekos Gaitanopoulos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Flavio Tanio hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Iordanis Tsakiroglou put in a rough tackle. In the 26th minute, one of ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β. The goalkeeper, Alekos Gaitanopoulos, was totally fooled by Independiente's Xu Wei Kun, who 28 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Alekos Gaitanopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Truylos, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute of the match, Martin Suy tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alekos Gaitanopoulos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gabriel Ikatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kosmas Bolos in the 34th minute of play. Sotiris Tevekelis hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the game, Eriberto Truylos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alekos Gaitanopoulos. Eriberto Truylos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. 38 minutes into the game, Eriberto Truylos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Alekos Gaitanopoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Freddy Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Alekos Gaitanopoulos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Independiente's Xu Wei Kun dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eriberto Truylos made a kick off. In the 50th match minute, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trifon Varkaris to maneuver through the defense. Alekos Gaitanopoulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Suy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β defense, Martin Suy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alekos Gaitanopoulos. The ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alekos Gaitanopoulos should have stopped the shot. 54 minutes into the game, Independiente's Xu Wei Kun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alekos Gaitanopoulos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Martin Suy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alekos Gaitanopoulos came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Independiente's Maikel Jol. But to his dismay, Maikel Jol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Alekos Gaitanopoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Truylos, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Eriberto Truylos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Truylos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alekos Gaitanopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β's Alekos Gaitanopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Truylos in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Independiente's Eriberto Truylos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Freddy Xacintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Independiente booed when ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ntinos Giasemis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xu Wei Kun struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Alekos Gaitanopoulos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. A collision led to ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Trifon Varkaris hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the match, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Truylos came free, but Alekos Gaitanopoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ Β's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Martin Suy who took care of the corner kick.
