He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santos FC reached it. In the 15th minute Bruno Sayvion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Smallwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Mårtensson made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Bruno Sayvion. Aaron Smallwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Erik Kjellberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Bearnaise EA's corner Edgar Malmberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aaron Smallwood quite easily take care of the ball. Tyron Velasquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Svante Björkdahl made a huge save. Aaron Smallwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Sayvion in the 23rd minute of the match. Bearnaise EA's Svante Björkdahl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Bearnaise EA from getting a goal against them. Bruno Sayvion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Smallwood having to interfere. Santos FC's attentive Terence Nicholas managed to snatch the ball when Leonardo Mårtensson made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. Jan-Erik Kjellberg struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Aaron Smallwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bearnaise EA. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tyron Velasquez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Bearnaise EA's goal looked a bit too open when Lanny Gilmore came free, but Svante Björkdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aaron Smallwood made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Bruno Sayvion sent off a good shot on target. Tyron Velasquez scored 1-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Svante Björkdahl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lanny Gilmore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Svante Björkdahl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Sayvion came free, but Aaron Smallwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Bearnaise EA's Bruno Sayvion sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Smallwood narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute Tyron Velasquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Svante Björkdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Erik Kjellberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Aaron Smallwood made a huge save. In the 70th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyron Velasquez to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Erik Kjellberg got free with Aaron Smallwood in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bruno Sayvion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 80 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Sayvion came free, but Aaron Smallwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Sayvion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Smallwood having to interfere. After some careless play in the Santos FC defense, Bruno Sayvion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron Smallwood. The Santos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Smallwood should have stopped the shot. When Lanny Gilmore fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos FC's protests and gave Lanny Gilmore a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Santos FC got a freekick which was hit by Lanny Gilmore. Aaron Smallwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Sayvion, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Bearnaise EA were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after Santos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edgar Malmberg took the corner. Bearnaise EA's Edgar Malmberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Aaron Smallwood in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 93rd minute, Leonardo Mårtensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Sayvion took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aaron Smallwood. Aaron Smallwood dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The Bearnaise EA players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
