Qian Xing Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Gilabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute Senthil Suşu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Chorche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Eleven Nation Army's Helge Brun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Uriel Chorche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Eleuterio Estebano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Qian Xing Wei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Serafim Catranides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Gilabert in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Qian Xing Wei saved Eleven Nation Army from getting behind. After 46 minutes, William Gijselinckx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Defensores del Ángel Gris and the Eleven Nation Army players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Defensores del Ángel Gris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Gijselinckx to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonso Gilabert was the one to do the kick off. Defensores del Ángel Gris's Leopoldo Aimar was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Qian Xing Wei in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Alfonso Gilabert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Eleven Nation Army had held the ball for most of the match.
