The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Argyris Stokas hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Txanton in the 9th minute of play forced PaoK Neapoleos's goalkeeper Isidoros Tsagarakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Price made an important save on a dangerous shot by Argyris Stokas in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute, Rashid Paddington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Afonso took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidoros Tsagarakis. Isidoros Tsagarakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Benjamin Price showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panos Barbagiannis in the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of PaoK Neapoleos booed when Characate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Lidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes, PaoK Neapoleos's Dawid Kosakowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benjamin Price came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PaoK Neapoleos reached it. Benjamin Price made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Argyris Stokas sent off a good shot on target. PaoK Neapoleos were furious when Sotiris Xifaras was red carded, 35 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Sotiris Xifaras hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Isidoros Tsagarakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Afonso in the 37th minute of the match. Isidoros Tsagarakis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerardo Santikurtz went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Isidoros Tsagarakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Txanton in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Leopoldo Afonso took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isidoros Tsagarakis. Isidoros Tsagarakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 56 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Panagiotis Psaris came free, but Benjamin Price reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Afonso struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Isidoros Tsagarakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Characate FC. PaoK Neapoleos made a substitution. Vassilis Roubakis replaced Argyris Stokas. 63 minutes into the match, Vassilis Kyriakas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Price. Characate FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vassilis Kyriakas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. PaoK Neapoleos's Isidoros Tsagarakis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Afonso in the 67th minute of play. Leopoldo Afonsos short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Isidoros Tsagarakis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 72 minutes into the game, PaoK Neapoleos's Vassilis Kyriakas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benjamin Price made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The supporters of PaoK Neapoleos booed when Characate FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Lidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Price showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vassilis Kyriakas, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Panos Barbagiannis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Price was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. 93 minutes into the match, Characate FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vassilis Kyriakas came free, but Benjamin Price reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Although PaoK Neapoleos had been in control for most of the match, Characate FC still came away with the win.
