The audience thought a goal was coming when Mihăiţă Ilarie got free with Emerson Paraíba in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 minutes Jumeuc Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mihăiţă Ilarie who took care of the corner kick. MIT had played much better football throughout.
