With an extended leg and a bit of luck 彭钢昂 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 彭钢昂 came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Sydney FC's Önder Cebi. But to his dismay, Önder Cebi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Önder Cebi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sydney FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Önder Cebi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 彭钢昂 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the match, Oiteiras's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Ogășanu came free, but 彭钢昂 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Ogășanu was the one to do the kick off.
