Andreas Svensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC NILS's zone, Diogo Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Svensson came out of the goal and Diogo Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MONTANHA's Andres van der Sar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Örtlund in the 13th minute of play. Afonso Cardozo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Andreas Svensson made a huge save. Filip Örtlund kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when MONTANHA's Afonso Cardozo fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC NILS's goalkeeper Andreas Svensson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MONTANHA fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC NILS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
