In the 3rd minute, Jaques Custermans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Real Espartillar's Julianda Saputra got a free kick in the 10th minute. Baldomero Oriche blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gavino Iratxo having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Real Espartillar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA:s goal. 13 minutes into the match, Daniel Bazán notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Real Espartillar's Gavino Iratxo. Gavino Iratxo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Javier Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaques Custermans in the 16th minute of play. The Real Espartillar fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Real Espartillar's Julianda Saputra looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Julianda Saputras short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Javier Garcia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Bazán sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Real Espartillar getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jaques Custermans hit a great ball. The C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Daniel Bazán looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Santana in the 33rd minute of play forced C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's goalkeeper Javier Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Ulises Evangelista had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Iratxo. Real Espartillar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulises Evangelista was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Javier Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciprian Răuțchi in the 40th minute. A collision led to C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Felix Kroos hit a great ball. Felix Kroos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julianda Saputra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Cipriano Llorian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Gavino Iratxo managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Baldomero Oriche fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 57 played minutes Real Espartillar got a freekick which was hit by Julianda Saputra. Real Espartillar's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Daniel Bazán 57 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-4. In the 64th minute, Cipriano Llorian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Daniel Bazán in the 65th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Gavino Iratxo kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-5 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Javier Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Llorian in the 68th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Gavino Iratxo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA's Javier Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Santana in the 73rd minute of play. After 74 minutes, Nick Mason mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA and the Real Espartillar players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Real Espartillar booed when C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick Mason didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Espartillar's Renan Guerreiro was substituted for Ciprian Răuțchi. Real Espartillar's Albano Garoa was substituted for Fabrizio Capobianco. In the 79th minute, Baldomero Oriche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Santana in the 84th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Real Espartillar's Renan Guerreiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Javier Garcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. In the 96th match minute, C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Oriche to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. C.A. SAN MARTIN MZA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
