The Boulogne F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Boulogne F.C.'s Mauricio Tano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Joni Aliaj fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boulogne F.C.'s protests and gave Joni Aliaj a yellow card for diving instead. Joni Aliaj hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelo Martins got free with Ladislav Lomnický in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Ladislav Lomnický managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Boulogne F.C.'s Mauricio Tano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ladislav Lomnický made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Trentini in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, UFC Pivnica's goalkeeper Ladislav Lomnický had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauricio Tano. In the 22nd minute Pavol Rybnický shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ask Stamnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Boulogne F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Viktor Kasarda was slow to take the kick. During this time UFC Pivnica's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on UFC Pivnica's corner Ľubomír Smatana fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ask Stamnes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 29th minute Pavol Rybnický shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ask Stamnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, UFC Pivnica's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Tano came free, but Ladislav Lomnický reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Viktor Kasarda came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the UFC Pivnica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viktor Kasarda couldn't finish the play. If Marcelo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Boulogne F.C. booed when UFC Pivnica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomáš Mišík didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislav Lomnický made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Tano in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ľubomír Smatana was the one to do the kick off. Joni Aliaj might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ladislav Lomnický. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joni Aliaj ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Mauricio Tano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boulogne F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Tano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislav Lomnický breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Donato Trentini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ladislav Lomnický read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauricio Tano in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ladislav Lomnický saved UFC Pivnica from getting behind. If Stanislav Záruba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavol Rybnický could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Ask Stamnes made a huge save. Boulogne F.C.'s Ask Stamnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavol Rybnický in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Tano in the 75th minute of play forced UFC Pivnica's goalkeeper Ladislav Lomnický to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78thth minute of the game Mauricio Tano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UFC Pivnica's Ladislav Lomnický was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donato Trentini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ladislav Lomnický having to make a save. Pavol Rybnický fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ask Stamnes having to interfere. Ladislav Lomnický showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Tano, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Boulogne F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while UFC Pivnica had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
