Michele Rieger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Valentin in the 3rd minute of play. VN FC Spartak-Varna's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Ragnar Lodbrok scored to the left of an out of position Hans Curtis, making the score, 2-0. Ragnar Lodbrok could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Hans Curtis made a huge save. In the 18th minute Ademar Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michele Rieger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Axenstein defense, Zbigniew Paraszczuk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michele Rieger. The Axenstein fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michele Rieger should have stopped the shot. Axenstein's Michele Rieger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbigniew Paraszczuk in the 22nd minute of play. Michele Rieger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to VN FC Spartak-Varna getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Peter Boklund hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, VN FC Spartak-Varna's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Bumba came free, but Hans Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by VN FC Spartak-Varna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Yannick Willi was slow to take the kick. During this time Axenstein's players had a chance to rest. Axenstein's Michele Rieger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Lundgren in the 31st minute of play. Axenstein's Claudiu Bumba got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Hans Curtis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Michele Rieger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zbigniew Paraszczuk in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michele Rieger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hans Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Bumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VN FC Spartak-Varna's Hans Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yannick Willi in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Ragnar Lodbrok recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hans Curtis. Ragnar Lodbrok showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudiu Bumba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Axenstein's Michele Rieger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danny Valentin in the 51st minute of play. If Jonny Schwyzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michele Rieger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danny Valentin in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Ragnar Lodbrok notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of VN FC Spartak-Varna's Hans Curtis. Hans Curtis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 63 minutes into the match, VN FC Spartak-Varna's Zbigniew Paraszczuk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Michele Rieger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 66 played minutes VN FC Spartak-Varna got a freekick which was hit by Peter Boklund. Claudiu Bumba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Hans Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ragnar Lodbrok fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Curtis having to interfere. Zbigniew Paraszczuk's late challenge caught a Axenstein's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zbigniew Paraszczuk helped the player get up and apologised. Zbigniew Paraszczuk kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ragnar Lodbrok sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Peter Boklund kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Claudiu Bumba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hans Curtis was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 86th minute Claudiu Bumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Curtis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janusz Skaradowski hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Michele Rieger was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Yancho Motev. In the 92nd minute Zbigniew Paraszczuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michele Rieger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hans Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Bumba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Axenstein were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of VN FC Spartak-Varna for a fine match.
