Hans Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Christian Spielhofer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michele Rieger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zbigniew Paraszczuk's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After 25 minutes, Zbigniew Paraszczuk made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Axenstein's Michele Rieger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute Claudiu Bumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Curtis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Axenstein's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bodo Oster in the 39th minute. A well done corner resulted in Valentin Trucco drilling the ball in to score 1-2 behind VN FC Spartak-Varna's goalkeeper. 44 minutes into the match, Claudiu Bumba notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of VN FC Spartak-Varna's Hans Curtis. Hans Curtis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ragnar Lodbrok sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The VN FC Spartak-Varna players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Axenstein were winning 1-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudiu Bumba made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joshua Kimmich got free with Hans Curtis in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute, Claudiu Bumba reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hans Curtis. The goal made the score 1-4. In the 77th minute Zbigniew Paraszczuk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michele Rieger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michele Rieger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zbigniew Paraszczuk's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Zbigniew Paraszczuk struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Michele Rieger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VN FC Spartak-Varna. Michele Rieger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Paraszczuk in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zbigniew Paraszczuk in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michele Rieger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Michele Rieger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Boklund in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute VN FC Spartak-Varna were awarded a corner. Yancho Motev went to the cornerflag to take it. VN FC Spartak-Varna's Yancho Motev was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Michele Rieger in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
