Everardo Atauri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felix Leahu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Girona FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Aveiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Traian Brăiloiu. After a rather tough play, F.C. YKE's Beppe Ciccone got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Everardo Atauri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Brăiloiu in the 19th minute of play forced Girona FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Aveiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Girona FC's Cristiano Aveiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Girona FC from getting a goal against them. Felix Leahu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Atauri in the 23rd minute of the match. Berkay Yetiş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Felix Leahu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for F.C. YKE! Fabián Mendez shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Girona FC's Cristiano Aveiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Girona FC from getting a goal against them. Cristiano Aveiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodri Gol in the 36th minute. Cristiano Aveiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Brăiloiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute Rodri Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Aveiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 47 minutes, Fabián Mendez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Girona FC and the F.C. YKE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Girona FC's Fabián Mendez got a free kick in the 47th minute. Girona FC made a substitution. Roman Gdaniec replaced Everardo Atauri. Fabián Mendez kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Roman Gdaniec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, F.C. YKE's Felix Leahu got control of the ball when Berkay Yetiş tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Roman Gdaniec ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felix Leahu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Samet Ağar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristiano Aveiro having to make a save. Cristiano Aveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samet Ağar in the 63rd minute of play. Duman Enginsoy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Duman Enginsoy made in the 67th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Zhuo Yang Lang immediately put the ball in play. Alfonso De Pedro hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. F.C. YKE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Twan van Nistelrooij in the 75th minute. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Girona FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Twan van Nistelrooij was slow to take the kick. During this time F.C. YKE's players had a chance to rest. With an all-out effort, Girona FC's Felix Leahu threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roman Gdaniec, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some careless play in the Girona FC defense, Samet Ağar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristiano Aveiro. The Girona FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristiano Aveiro should have stopped the shot. Girona FC's David Palau was substituted for Roman Gdaniec. 93 minutes into the match, Samet Ağar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Aveiro. Girona FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Samet Ağar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. F.C. YKE's Zygmunt Zachemski was substituted for Twan van Nistelrooij. In the 98th minute, Samet Ağar made a precise shot to the right of Cristiano Aveiro. Girona FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.
