If Benjamin de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Braga made a substitution. Geraldo Lucas replaced André Jordão. 74 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goalkeeper Laçın Cumayev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Ronaldinho. In the 76th minute Stig-Åke Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fran Guerola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
