Telmo Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vincent Mossberg got free with Telmo Madureira in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to The Green Fairies getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Per-Erik Juhlin hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in E.C 2 Janeiro RS's zone, Vincent Mossberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Telmo Madureira came out of the goal and Vincent Mossberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Telmo Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Skoglund in the 14th minute of play. Harald Fridlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válter de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Folke Skoglund fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Telmo Madureira, passed just outside the right post. Folke Skoglund received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Telmo Madureira came out and tried to block the shot, but Folke Skoglund slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 22nd minute. If Per-Erik Juhlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Vincent Mossberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Green Fairies's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave E.C 2 Janeiro RS the free kick. Vincent Mossberg kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Leonardo Lindholm lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Telmo Madureira. Folke Skoglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Madureira having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The wind increased when Válter de Sousa made the kick off in the second half. Telmo Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Folke Skoglund, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Folke Skoglund might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Telmo Madureira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Folke Skoglund ran back to his position shaking his head. Telmo Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Folke Skoglund's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Folke Skoglund scored 4-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Telmo Madureira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Vincent Mossberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo Madureira was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Telmo Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Mossberg in the 94th minute of play forced E.C 2 Janeiro RS's goalkeeper Telmo Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, The Green Fairies's Vincent Mossberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0.
