The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdi Coşan got free with Iwan Gamza in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 4th match minute, istanbulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berkay Şahiner to maneuver through the defense. If Patric Bierhoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patric Bierhoff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. istanbulls's Göksel Canfeda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Gaspar in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Zeng Chong Kang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patric Bierhoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iwan Gamza having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, one of GreenSkar FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 44thth minute of the game Niklas Hedlund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but istanbulls's Göksel Canfeda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 45 minutes, Niklas Hedlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GreenSkar FC and the istanbulls players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, GreenSkar FC's Niklas Hedlund got a free kick in the 46th minute. Iwan Gamza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patric Bierhoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patric Bierhoff to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the GreenSkar FC defense, Ferdi Coşan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iwan Gamza. The GreenSkar FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iwan Gamza should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the match, GreenSkar FC's Acácio Gaspar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Göksel Canfeda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute Patric Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Gamza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Nadir Yalvaç hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in GreenSkar FC's zone, Patric Bierhoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iwan Gamza came out of the goal and Patric Bierhoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iwan Gamza came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by istanbulls's Patric Bierhoff. But to his dismay, Patric Bierhoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 69th minute Alp Enginalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Gamza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iwan Gamza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berkay Şahiner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Patric Bierhoff left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The istanbulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Iwan Gamza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alp Enginalp's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. The istanbulls fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when istanbulls's Alp Enginalp looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 88 minutes into the match, GreenSkar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alp Enginalp came free, but Iwan Gamza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, GreenSkar FC's Göksel Canfeda threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rudolf Ahlstedt, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Iwan Gamza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alp Enginalp's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. istanbulls's Göksel Canfeda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save istanbulls from getting a goal against them. Zeng Chong Kang charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeng Chong Kang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to istanbulls getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Zeng Chong Kang hit a great ball.
