The throw-in from Epifanio Lauro in the 2nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Newells Old Boys's Silverio Tuste. 4 minutes into the match, ELPORVE's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Tuste came free, but Edelmiro Cresconio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horacio Errapel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silverio Tuste might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edelmiro Cresconio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silverio Tuste ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, ELPORVE's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Tuste came free, but Edelmiro Cresconio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edelmiro Cresconio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Tuste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Silverio Tuste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edelmiro Cresconio was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The Newells Old Boys fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Newells Old Boys's Silverio Tuste looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Lauro in the 22nd minute of play forced Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Serafino Jurdan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, ELPORVE's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Tuste came free, but Edelmiro Cresconio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafino Jurdan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qian Jun Bo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Serafino Jurdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Lauro in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Epifanio Lauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Jurdan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silverio Tuste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafino Jurdan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qian Jun Bo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serafino Jurdan came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by ELPORVE's Eche Mingas. But to his dismay, Eche Mingas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

ELPORVE's Edelmiro Cresconio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Tuste in the 69th minute of play. Serafino Jurdan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eche Mingas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Itzaina kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Felix Sol charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Sol the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Modesto Piarres kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Silverio Tuste might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edelmiro Cresconio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silverio Tuste ran back to his position shaking his head. Edelmiro Cresconio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Tuste, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ELPORVE walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
