Mercado Paulista F.C were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Itapema's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. La Fuente took the corner. La Fuente made a great header on Mercado Paulista F.C's corner, it was just that Itapema's Vitório Massa managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Itapema's Enrique Loureiro got a free kick in the 8th minute. Alex Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Vladimir Albuquerque made in the 15th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Amos Maietta however managed to control. Vitório Massa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dong Xi Xiong went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Franco Sampler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Félix in the 22nd minute of play. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Mercado Paulista F.C's Dong Xi Xiong looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dong Xi Xiong scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vitório Massa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dong Xi Xiong in the 30th minute of play forced Itapema's goalkeeper Vitório Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rikard Nordin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Vitório Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vladimir Albuquerque made in the 33rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Amos Maietta. Dong Xi Xiong took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitório Massa. Vitório Massa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Dong Xi Xiong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vitório Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dong Xi Xiong in the 41st minute of play. Vitório Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dong Xi Xiong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

Mercado Paulista F.C's Kent Lindberg was substituted for Dong Xi Xiong. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Durvalino Cavalcante to make the kick off. 53 minutes in the game Enrique Loureiro did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Amos Maietta. 54 minutes into the match, Itapema's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Lindberg came free, but Vitório Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sílvio Luís Goiano fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapema's protests and gave Sílvio Luís Goiano a yellow card for diving instead. After 61 played minutes Itapema got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Luís Goiano. Kent Lindberg took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitório Massa. Vitório Massa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. After 72 minutes of play, Mercado Paulista F.C's Kent Lindberg made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vitório Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th minute, Mercado Paulista F.C's Kent Lindberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vitório Massa. Vitório Massa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. In the 84th minute, Kent Lindberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Vitório Massa was a little too slow when Kent Lindberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 0-10. The crowd rose to their feet as Mercado Paulista F.C's Kent Lindberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vitório Massa. That made the score 0-11 after 91 minutes of play. Kent Lindberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitório Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Mercado Paulista F.C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Itapema.
