Tony Githinji Muhoho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dionisio Frasco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. In the 7th minute, Ye Sang fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tony Githinji Muhoho, passed just outside the right post. In the 15th play minute Guido Mista came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tony Githinji Muhoho. 2-0. After 19 minutes, Christopher Mbugua mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rothwell Park and the G.D Vitória de Sernache players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute of the game Avelino Vasques made a throw-in which Valentim Torcato played forward. Tony Githinji Muhoho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dionisio Frasco went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. G.D Vitória de Sernache's Guilherme Prada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Salvino in the 26th minute of play. Rothwell Park's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sammy Keino in the 27th minute. A nice corner shot did that Sammy Keino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guilherme Prada quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Guilherme Prada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adolfo Salvino went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Tony Githinji Muhoho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guido Mista, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ilídio Veloso kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tony Githinji Muhoho. That made the score 4-1 in the 39 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rothwell Park's Shekhar Biwott got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 47th match minute, G.D Vitória de Sernache was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Pedro to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolfo Salvino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rothwell Park made a substitution. Abdallah Ali Bungei replaced Elijah Leakey. In the 58th minute, Ye Sang made a precise shot to the right of Tony Githinji Muhoho. Rothwell Park's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. A collision led to Rothwell Park getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Christopher Mbugua hit a great ball. G.D Vitória de Sernache's Paras Burr got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tony Githinji Muhoho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dionisio Frasco in the 68th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Mista in the 69th minute of play forced Rothwell Park's goalkeeper Tony Githinji Muhoho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Dionisio Frasco came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the G.D Vitória de Sernache fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Frasco couldn't finish the play. 73 minutes into the match, Guido Mista notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Rothwell Park's Tony Githinji Muhoho. Tony Githinji Muhoho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 79th match minute, G.D Vitória de Sernache was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avelino Vasques to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute Dionisio Frasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Githinji Muhoho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tony Githinji Muhoho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Frasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that G.D Vitória de Sernache were the better team. G.D Vitória de Sernache's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
