The Flamenco United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ye Zheng should have stopped the shot. Gwidon Cichocki came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Aristide Beșliu could save by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Håkan Šuker in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ye Zheng saved Flamenco United from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Flamenco United's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Lehoi came free, but Ye Zheng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Honung's Håkan Šuker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ye Zheng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Šuker in the 27th minute of play forced Flamenco United's goalkeeper Ye Zheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ye Zheng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Håkan Šuker in the 31st minute of the match. Honung's Aristide Beșliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Teofilio in the 50th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Håkan Šuker got free with Ye Zheng in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute Angel Lehoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ye Zheng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Li Ang kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Yanick Schautens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristide Beșliu having to interfere. Honung made a substitution. In the 93rd minute, Yanick Schautens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Honung players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
