In the 40th minute Pan Jian Yong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batıkan Muhsin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pan Jian Yong was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Benedicto Bihar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedicto Bihar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steve De Wilde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Batıkan Muhsin went to the wrong direction when Gao Cheng Yun was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Lorenzo James was substituted for Seçkin Öksüzoğlu. 73 minutes in the game Bernardo Sasso did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Aykut Canel. The supporters of Lions United booed when Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Sasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aykut Canel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Steve De Wilde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lions United's Steve De Wilde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Lions United from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aykut Canel got free with Steve De Wilde in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 89 minutes into the game, Pan Jian Yong was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lions United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC the free kick. After 89 played minutes Lions United got a freekick which was hit by Pan Jian Yong. The nice shot from Aykut Canel in the 90thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Steve De Wilde had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 91 played minutes Aykut Canel rounded Lions United's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
