With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Semeno in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruninho Vaz saved SC Bertioga from getting behind. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Marcel Dinescu sped through SC Bertioga's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruninho Vaz. 18 minutes into the match, SC Bertioga's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Dinescu came free, but Bruninho Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Marcel Dinescu made a precise shot to the right of Bruninho Vaz. SC Bertioga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. SC Bertioga's Bruninho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Dinescu in the 26th minute of play. Quilaquina AFC's Baldomiro Cibran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gildo de Lima in the 41st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alf Elg got free with Baldomiro Cibran in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alf Elg was the one to do the kick off. Baldomiro Cibran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Pombal in the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Leonel Semeno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Alf Elg managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Bertioga's supporters rose to their feet, but Alf Elg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomiro Cibran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SC Bertioga made a substitution. Sílvio Castro replaced Gildo de Lima. 64 minutes into the match, SC Bertioga's goalkeeper Bruninho Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Semeno. Baldomiro Cibran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Troiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Troiano might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baldomiro Cibran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Troiano ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 70 minutes, Abel Harri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quilaquina AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Harri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Bertioga's goalkeeper Bruninho Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 75th minute of the match SC Bertioga got a corner. Quilaquina AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Serafim Queiroz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Quilaquina AFC's zone, Flavio Troiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomiro Cibran came out of the goal and Flavio Troiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sebastian Vigil's late challenge caught a SC Bertioga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Vigil helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Quilaquina AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Vigil. Flavio Troiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Quilaquina AFC booed when SC Bertioga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Marcel Dinescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quilaquina AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 91st match minute, Quilaquina AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Dinescu to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see SC Bertioga lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
