In the 6th match minute, A.K.Sh Albania was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardinho Guerra to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in A.K.Sh Albania's zone, Andrei Mihăescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximino Berto came out of the goal and Andrei Mihăescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximino Berto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ionică Vârlan in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Ştefan Costin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maximino Berto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Trigo in the 30th minute of play forced Adevarul Pur's goalkeeper Costin Stănculescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adevarul Pur's Costin Stănculescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mehmet Halis Ergün in the 35th minute of play. Ionică Vârlan struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Maximino Berto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adevarul Pur. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luciano Trigo to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Adevarul Pur's goalkeeper Costin Stănculescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Trigo. Costin Stănculescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksander Naskrent, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The supporters of A.K.Sh Albania booed when Adevarul Pur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grigore Nichitelea didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Adevarul Pur's goalkeeper Costin Stănculescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Halis Ergün. Costin Stănculescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute of the match, Aleksander Naskrent tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Costin Stănculescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Costin Stănculescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aleksander Naskrent's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Mehmet Halis Ergün could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Costin Stănculescu however easily saved by the left post. A.K.Sh Albania's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alesandro Nesta in the 72nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Costin Stănculescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ionică Vârlan scored 4-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Maximino Berto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maximino Berto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gică Tapalagă in the 86th minute of the match. After 87 minutes A.K.Sh Albania's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andrei Mihăescu who took care of the corner kick. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Aleksander Naskrent took a quick shot and it went in 4-4 without a chance for Costin Stănculescu to make any attempt to save it.
