The Glasston fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ferdi Kargin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Golob, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Rafael van der Vaart took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Ferdi Kargin to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Çanakkale's Mustafa Kemal Oncu got a free kick in the 25th minute. Ferdi Kargin stood somewhat misplaced when Rafael van der Vaart came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 26 minute. In the 33rd minute, İsmail Cem Eroğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlton Convine was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Carlton Convine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koray Tibet, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael van der Vaart in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdi Kargin saved Çanakkale from getting behind. Carlton Convine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Koray Tibet, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. György Németh scored 5-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferdi Kargin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Çanakkale's Ferdi Kargin got control of the ball when Rafael van der Vaart tried to sneak it across the goal line. Çanakkale's Ferdi Kargin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Çanakkale from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-1 at half-time.

The supporters of Glasston booed when Çanakkale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mansur Başel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 minutes, Salih Kaveloğlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Çanakkale and the Glasston players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute Glasston were awarded a corner. Tom Rheistein went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael van der Vaart in the 59th minute of play forced Çanakkale's goalkeeper Ferdi Kargin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 minutes, Rafael van der Vaart made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Çanakkale's Ferdi Kargin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ferdi Kargin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregg Didlick in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Rafael van der Vaart left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Glasston fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-1. Mete Golob received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ferdi Kargin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael van der Vaart in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferdi Kargin saved Çanakkale from getting behind. Ferdi Kargin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael van der Vaart's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Rafael van der Vaart notched a goal, 10-1, to the right of Çanakkale's Ferdi Kargin. Ferdi Kargin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael van der Vaart in the 88th minute of play forced Çanakkale's goalkeeper Ferdi Kargin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ant Nevzat kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Mete Golob struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ferdi Kargin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glasston. Çanakkale's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
